was supposed to post and say that Andrea was putting her vote up for Skippy. (She was bribed.)
So then, can we just read Skippy Dies? I mean, its still the 15th, and I think its a quick read. Yes?

The decision is…. that book club is delayed. Since clearly no one has bought/ordered the book yet—- since we don’t have one picked—- we’ll have to go from the 1st to the 1st (OR whenever we pick the next book ‘til July 1st) this time. SO, Andi, either pick one OR people need to chirp at Erin/Alycia OR… book club will… implode. Or something. You know? Yeah. This is my executive decision.
Tomorrow is the 15th. Someone make an executive decision.
I’m done with A Remembrance of Thing I Forgot. I didn’t love it, and I didn’t hate it, but I’m not sure that I liked it.
Erin reads along but doesn’t have time to post coherently always, so she doesn’t always post, so she’s told me.
Do any of us ever post anything “coherently?” The answer is no, so tell that bitch to post/vote! Or, at least, to vote.
Yeah, we definitely need to call in a tie-breaker here. Erin reads along but doesn’t have time to post coherently always, so she doesn’t always post, so she’s told me. We’ve talked about books in person. Yes, she is in Austria. Should we FB bomb her and Alycia and see if they want to weigh in??? I mean, with our luck they’d both choose Cholera and we’d be stuck in… a three-way tie!
I’m farther in than this, but I’m going to try not writing one giant post at the end like I usually do. SO.
and I still don’t have much to say really.
Austria? G’Day mate! Let’s put another shrimp on the barbie!
Andrea’s boyfriend, Benedict Handsomewhatshisface, sold me on Mr. Toppit. So I think that leaves us in a little tiebreaker dilemma. I think if Erin isn’t in for this month (isn’t she is Austria anyway?) and Alicia is still MIA, then Andrea should just pick whatever book she prefers of the two.
Also, a friend recently said to me, “oh, my friend suggested I read A Hundred Years of Solitude. She said I would really enjoy it.” I said almost exactly what Ian said, “You mean A Hundred Thousand years of the boringest book ever? Yeah, have fun.” Sorry Andrea. I’d be down to read Love in a Time of Cholera another time, these other books though, sound more like us.
I vote for Skippy. And I’m not ready to post about the other book. I know, I know, I’m the worst. But I have a month off before Andi’s Shakespeare class starts so I can actually read quickly.
Also, LOLZ to the Astoria quote. Whenever someone from work asks me where I live it always goes like this:
Coworker: so, where do you live? Manhattan? Brooklyn?
Me: Queens.
Coworker: Oh…..Queens….
Then they give me the “sorry for your loss” look.
So, Skippy? Please?
